Rather than just look to replace roofs – which may have years of useful life ahead of them – we’ve developed a method to ensure that we fully understand your roofs’ conditions, recommend the right solutions and develop a plan to keep them working for you for decades. Thousands of building owners and facility managers have benefited from this proven process, which starts before we set foot on a roof and evolves to ensure that you are always satisfied with your roofs, and with us.

As roofs age, minor problems such as tears and splits in the membrane, and cracks and deterioration of the walls may occur. Left unrepaired, they can become major problems and lead to large capital expense.

Tremco can assist with these maintenance issues by providing dedicated, professional crews to handle them for you, at terms that meet your budget.

We have the method for managing your roofs that is more than just helping keep buildings dry, safe and sustainable. Our goal is to help you maximize the return on your facility investment through consultation, project planning, inspection, specification, firm budgeting, and reducing costs; a complete line of the highest quality products; ongoing maintenance … and no surprises! • Roof Restoration

All roofing systems require regularly scheduled inspections and preventive maintenance at least twice per year, preferably in the spring and autumn months. Without routine inspections, what may seem to be minor roofing issues can lead to expensive, time-consuming repairs from damage or water infiltration that can accelerate the aging and deterioration of a roofing system. In turn, this can ultimately lead to a need to replace the roofing system prematurely.

However, it doesn't have to be that way – not with the option of roof restoration. Restoration is a cost-effective, proactive process design to prolong the life of a functioning roof.

Determined from laboratory analysis, restoration upgrades the performance of your existing roof and its components by identifying and repairing defects, in addition to providing a new top coat to restore waterproofing continuity.

You can learn more about the AlphaGuard™ family and the Geogard roof restoration system in the video below.

  • Technical Information

Roof coatings based on the regional climate and atmospheric conditions

ISO 9223 & ISO 12944-2 standard aims to provide effective means of protecting metal structures, ensuring longevity, and mitigating risks from corrosion.

    • Heated buildings with clean atmospheres, e.g. offices, shops, schools, hotels - no interior corrosion, external conditions only.
    • Atmospheres with low level of pollution. Mostly rural areas. Unheated buildings where condensation may occur, e.g., depots, sports halls.
    • Rural, light to heavy industrial, and urban areas with pollution from nearby designated industries or small industries causing significant pollution. Also covers mild marine areas at least 1000m away from the marine environment, with a noticeable salt smell.
    • Covers heavy industries with high emissions, noticeable chemical odors (sulfur, acids), factories, buildings with moderate humidity, prone to moderate corrosion due to technical and chemical conditions. Also extends to the marine environment within 100-300m inland from the shore.
    • Encompasses heavy industries/chemical sectors with strong emissions/odors (sulfur, acids). Addresses high to extremely high corrosion, including coastal buildings within 100m from the shore.
  • Sealants

Below-grade waterproofing prevents water intrusion and is critical to avoiding costly problems in the future. Tremco Commercial Sealants & Waterproofing offers an array of options for maximum protection and expedited schedules.
